SKETCH CRAWL UPDATE

It was a beautiful sunny California day.  About 50 sketchers came and I stamped their book with the Sonoma County Sketch Crawl stamp.  It was interesting to see all the sketchers and the public walking around, having coffee outdoors and  enjoying the day. People were sitting on the rail road track at RR square.  Dog and children played.  I sketched outdoors for most of the afternoon and then went inside Aroma Roasters coffee shop to sketch the people. After about half the group joined at Chevy's to share their sketches and the day.

I am pleased that Chris Smith and Dan Taylor each wrote an article about the event.  I also was glad to see artists gather together in a non commercial atmosphere where they could enjoy each other's company.

Return to this site as I will schedule another sketch crawl event, possibly in May.  Also if you are interested I teach a class titled "Sketching People in Public Places"   See my workshop page in this web site.
